All leading metrics are now showing strong evidence of rising infections. Wastewater data (likely the best indicator we have currently) is rising fast and if you look at preliminary data from yesterday (11/30) virus concentration in sewage has DOUBLED in the last two weeks.

@pollak from my own unscientific observations, everyone is sick right now. I've been to several retail stores this week and in every store at least one person is hacking up a lung.

@freeder23 Same here. Although, while I am hearing about more people have Covid than a month ago, I'm hearing about a lot more sick who *don't* have Covid but some other respiratory virus.

@betainverse That's what I'm seeing too. A LOT of sick people, some Covid but many not. Either way, hospitals are stressed.

@pollak can confirm anecdotally that the whole #Hoosier universe is sick. My kid's schools are ghost towns, we've had a bad non-flu non-covid respiratory virus in our household for several weeks, and a couple of days ago I pulled a muscle IN MY THIGH from coughing so hard (in other news, I'm old). (We are all fully vaxxed and boosted for covid and flu, thankfully.) It's gonna be a long winter. #HoosierMast #Sick #SickOfCoughing

@nmcspadden Wow, that is mostly consistent with what I've been seeing and hearing from others. It's a good time to go back to a high quality mask (N95, KN94 or KF94) if you gave that up and avoiding or limiting gatherings. Hope you all recover quickly!
