I went to tonight's SF Board of Supervisors to hear the debate on authorizing SFPD to use robots with lethal force.
The board passed the policy with three dissenting (Preston, Walton, and Stefani).
I'm too tired to retype my summary but you can find it on birdsite.

โWell, the board of supervisors just amended the policy document and it passed 8-3. The good news: the authorization for the use of force must come from higher ranks of SFPD and they must exhaust alternatives. This bad news is that SF has now created a market for killer robots.โ
