News: It's Michigan.

Mich is poised to replace Iowa as an early nominating state for Democrats in 2024, per senior officials.

Will be formally taken up by DNC this weekend, but the White House has decided.

I first reported Mich was being eyed here:

Biden Irked by Democrats Who Won’t Take ‘Yes’ for an Answer on 2024

The White House is trying to tamp down speculation about plans to seek re-election, while aides say President Biden is bristling at the persistent questions.

My goodness what is going to happen to the consumption of bad diner food and convenience store pizza in Iowa? And who is going to talk to our white male farmers over cups of undrinkable coffee about their plights and lack of support from DC?
@ProfSecchi interesting since the MN Governor was on the local news saying MN should replace Iowa too.
@timcorder I think that would have been OK too though thanks to Southern Minnesota the ag lobby is very powerful there too… still plenty of diners to go to to talk to commodity farmers.
@ProfSecchi that’s true in all states. In CA, most of the brains is in the larger cities yet the red areas are mostly rural plantation/farming areas.
@ProfSecchi thankfully there is enough brain power from the blue to overcome the red areas. CA is mostly Blue. Bakersfield on the other hand is McCarthy’s hometown which is rural and has the highest crime rates in the US.
