Polythene frame now up.
Once the ground anchors arrive, I'll fix it down and put the cover on.
What the chooks don't know yet is that it will be their winter abode until bird flu risk has gone
@Filipendula Weโ€™ve had to do this most of this yearโ€ฆ
@DeWulfMarleen Restrictions have only recently been introduced here. I hope to get them under cover ASAP. They will not be happy, but it's better than dead.
Do you give your chickens any toys or frames to keep them occupied and happy?
@Filipendula No. Enough room to roam, sufficient food and they should be happy. Make sure their habitat is fox proof!
@DeWulfMarleen Tnx.
I hope they will have enough room. 6m x 3m tunnel for 10 hens and 1 rooster. I'll add structures to create diversity and treat them to suspended cabbages.
The compound that the tunnel is in is now badger-proof: badgers kept breaking in for the grain, thereby creating an access for foxes. I lost a few this way. Concrete and planks now block all potential access points
@Filipendula Sounds like Hen Hilton! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
@DeWulfMarleen
I hope they will be happy ๐Ÿ˜Š
