So, I just started watching #criminalminds thanks to TikTok and I actually enjoy it. Not usually my type of thing to watch but I am actually liking it. My favorite character right now is Spencer Reid. I am on episode 3 of season 1 on the series. Watching it on Hulu. Anyone else a #criminalmind fan because I am very new to this series

@mysticbird44 I watched about a season of it while crafting and I found I had to put it down for the same reasons as Mandy Patinkin gave when he left. Lotta people love crime shows but it was stacking up in my subconscious, putting all that darkness in there. Guillermo del Toro also banned from my eyeballs. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ But I am soft.

I loved the cast. Perhaps you are made of sterner stuff than I am. πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

@squeevening my dad used to watch law and order. This is my first time watching a crime show

@mysticbird44 oh, man. So I love a murder mystery. I loved CSI original, watched most of Bones, Grimm although that turned out way less police procedural. Supernatural when I thought it was a crime show. All of XFiles was my faaavorite. even working my way through old Columbos right now. But those victims start out already dead.

Criminal minds you meet alive people that may or may not die, and you watch them suffer, and that was too much for my fragile psyche. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜±

@squeevening I’m already loving Spencer Reid though.

@mysticbird44 If you can stick with it for 15 whatever seasons, you get a LOT of Spencer backstory or "angst" potential, for lack of a better word just now.

I've only watched casually when on TV reruns, no idea how far into the latest seasons, but seen for general familiarity.

@ElysiaMacht it’s 15 seasons and I’m S1 episode 8

@mysticbird44 Yeah, I didn't want to spoil anything if sticking with it or rather finding out yourself, unable to go into details on anything happening with his storylines ofc.

No major fan per se, just familiar with things, and no character appealed to me enough overall to make it an "it" show on my part. It's fine tho. πŸ‘
