@evan Agree about the squatting. I’ve re-followed everyone since I moved over here but over the weekend I’m planning un-following those with zero posts.
@david_orr @evan Please give them a little time. It takes time to gain the courage to engage. Nothing in this world is safe or without risk. And every place carries danger, particularly for those from universally marginalized subgroups of humankind. The mainstream is perpetually and often unwittingly unkind to us and even if you don't notice, it leaves us with damage that becomes irreparable. Every word I type strikes terror in my heart as to how The Man will respond & how much it'll hurt.
@Verdantsquare @evan You make some excellent points and I have no intention of causing stress or harm.

@david_orr @evan Most people have no intent to cause stress or harm, but it still occurs widely. Those damaged over time can bear it less and less. Feeling alone, broken, and unwelcome, they suffer in silence or have their cries ignored... until they die. Reality. It's an awful world. So many existences end up being nothing but the default's collateral damage. And for what?

I appreciate your response, your thoughtfulness, and your good intentions.

@Verdantsquare @david_orr @evan Introverts may rarely post, and then only when deeply affected. Insisting that people post is really pushy. Extroverts tend to think that non-extroverts are broken. We’re not.
@BGAtlanta @david_orr @evan Many introverts are not, that's true, and that's happymaking news for me. But some of us are broken, and that factors into lurking as well.
