@godpod it's a good joke but I feel like our tendency for mega solutions across the board is part of the problem. Instead of "mega homeless shelters" why not do a "mega" number of "micro" affordable housing options serving each neighborhood. Eg: Let each city block manage its own small, manageable number of unhomed folks, vs trying to forget unhomed folks exist by trying to hide them away in some dystopian mega shelter on the other side of town (gee I wonder which side of town it would be on).
