My housemate, for a couple of valid reasons from his childhood, is really not into the #winter #holidays at all. So, I don't bother #decorating the house anymore, because it seems like a lot to put up and take down by myself when he doesn't even enjoy it.

But you guys, I'm seeing all these pictures of people's #XmasTrees and thinking about the smell of #pine and the soft glow of light and I miss it so much  🎄

@andthisismrspeacock Is it worth you creating a small space for yourself where you can enjoy some decorations? I've had partners in past with rough associations to Christmas but weren't necessarily put off by decorations, so I put them up myself because I love it. But if the roommate is put off by seeing them, maybe a small spot for yourself out of the common area would let you enjoy it the way you want to, and be less for you to put up and take down.
