Hrm while i like my switch, the games i actually want to play are mostly on PC. I don't exactly want to shell out the money for a steam deck but maybe 🤔
@iyalei
An option I've heard works well (though I haven't tried it myself) is to get a controller that your phone slots into (something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08H7MBRYQ/ ) and use Steam Link to stream your PC games to your phone, or a service like Xbox Cloud Gaming to stream games from the internet.
There would be a little bit of extra input lag, but if you have good Wi-Fi (even if your internet connection is a little slow), it shouldn't be too noticeable.
@ZahmbieND hmm it's an idea. I do have a steam link i might try and dust off.
@iyalei
I meant the Steam Link service/app, not the dedicated device. I think it used to be called something like "Steam In-Home Streaming" but I think they rebranded it to match the name of their device (which makes things more confusing imo).
There should be a Steam Link app in your phone's app store that lets you play games remotely on your phone running on your computer that has Steam installed.
I think the app also adds touch screen controls, but most people prefer real buttons, which is why I recommended a controller.
@ZahmbieND yes, sorry i was tired yesterday and didn't give full contesxt of my thoughts. i was thinking that streaming to my projector would also already be a net benefit and fulfill the "not sitting at desk" requirement.
