Do you think my Sims 4 house is gay enough?
My transmasc gay sim and his cis gay boyfriend moved in together last season, and they just bought this house together. It's based on "The Kentucky" house kit model from the 1917 Aladdin catalog (I have a republished copy).
The trans sim is a critic by day and author of queer books by night. he has a recurring series called Detective Lavande about a gay private detective who solves crimes for the queer community with as little police involvement as possible. In the last one, he helped a newly-formed tenants union in a rent-controlled apartment building prove their landlord was trying to illegally pressure them out. In the end they sue the landlord, and put on a fundraiser through their local queer bar to raise money to buy the building as a co-op.
His boyfriend is a fundraiser for a local queer charity and the guy that knows and is liked by everyone. (in contrast to the other sim who's a loaner). Just a really kind, helpful, and big-hearted guy. Also he's terrified of fire and very prone to lighting the kitchen and himself on fire if he uses the stove.
I love them and it's been very fun getting back into the game with them after taking a couple of years off playing it. (I've played every Sims game since the early days of the franchise, but Sims 4 took me a while to warm up to. I loved the totally open world of Sims 3 even though it caused huge performance problems).
