@slightlyflightyone firefox is mostly fine but eventually slows to a crawl when im watching any streaming service or twitch livestream for a long enough time.

its especially noticeable when i close the offending tab; if its been running for long enough then firefox will become unresponsive for upwards of 15 seconds

@slightlyflightyone also youtube livestreams buffer every 10 seconds on firefox, even at 144p, but dont on edge.

Do you use adblocking?

Several years ago, I demo’d the power of adblock on Core2Duo CPUs. Without adblock, stuttering 480i, full CPU load on YouTube on Firefox on Ubuntu.

After adblock, 1080p played smoothly and the overhead was so low the fans didn’t turn on.
