Shoq 🌿I am chomping at the bit to get our instance up. Mostly so I can start demonstrating some concepts I think are important for the future of all this fediverse evolution. But we only have 4 devs and 2 coders, so it always takes longer than (they think :). I just wish I hadn't stopped coding about 8 years ago. Hell, I could have set us back even farther by now :)
Gloria Pan@shoq I am also eyeing an instance to test some concepts, but there are concerns about privacy and moderation and scale. In its sleepy early days, the Mastodon community seems to have developed a very specific ethos, which I think will have to evolve very quickly if it's to scale. And what will be replicable with Twitter and what won't be? Also, I'm wondering why Mastodon and not Tribel, which I'm also trying out.
@GloPan Agree on everything but Tribel and would love to compare notes and invite you to our lab when its ready. As for Tribel, if you ever find me connected to anything the Rivero brothers are involved with, you have my permission to end me. With extreme prejudice. :)
