If you want to learn #Fortran or to upgrade your knowledge to the latest Fortran standards, this #book is excellent:
- Curcic, Milan (2019). "Modern Fortran: Building Efficient Parallel Applications". Manning Publications.

The following book is a reference for Fortran programmers, more readable than the standard:
- Metcalf, M., J. Reid, and M. Cohen (2018). "Modern Fortran Explained: Incorporating Fortran 2018". Oxford University Press.

Both include Fortran 2018 novelties.

@vmagnin Milan Curcic’s book is probably a better read for people looking to learn modern Fortran. But as someone who spends my working day in Fortran code the Metcalf, Reid and Cohen book is my go to reference. Both good books, and my top two recommendations for Fortran.
