Even if you think you have realised how bad things are, perhaps there will still be something that shocks you further

For me, it was the man whose benefits were stopped when he couldn’t ‘verify his identity’ on his phone because he had no credit. So he’d been left, with no food, no phone and no electricity, in the cold and dark

How has it come to this?

@gem_abbott This is horrendous. I’m not sure people grasp the scale of what’s happening. In leafy suburbs people are still continuing as per usual . Whilst reading their hard right propaganda . I’m not clear how we can raise these issues without them pointing at the asylum seekers. It has to be done by politicians breaking this poisonous link. We need more C4 values. Maybe key is media regulation.
