Mississippi is America’s Blackest state. It’s mostly white MAGA Govt annually rejects $1B in Federal $ for Medicaid. Now the last hospital in a rural part of MS is about to close—devastating Black & low income people.

@smilingoutloud @QasimRashid Mississippi has some of the worst voter suppression in the the United States. It is rarely as simple as “voting against one’s own interests.”

@smilingoutloud @QasimRashid Poverty and lack of education are methods of suppressing the vote. Many of our Republican elected leaders seem to actively hate their constituents. Never mind the fact that there is no organized Democratic Party in the state.
