Denise is a pig who features in the 2015 ABC series The Muppets. She serves as the network's Head of Marketing on Up Late with Miss Piggy. Some time before "Pig Girls Don't Cry", she met Up Late’s Executive Producer, Kermit the Frog at a cross-promotional synergy meeting. Shortly after, they began dating. To touch on a serious topic in relation, could Muppets pull off a respectful use of characters in drag?
I'm sure I recall (but perhaps imagining it) Fozzie in a dress and wig. In its day, transvestite "jokes" were played for laughs.
They way modern drag queens can be celebrated, could a cross-dressing Muppet Dune "work?"

Miss Poogy is Miss Piggy's gruff counterpart that appears in The Muppets. She is a member of Fozzie's tribute band, The Moopets. Miss Poogy later appeared in Muppets Most Wanted as a gulag prisoner and at The Muppets Take the O2 (as a participant in the "Obscure Muppets" parade and appearing briefly in the Muppet Labs sketch).
