There's a category of "google search fraud scams" that I haven't seen discussed & don't know how to report.
An example is "https://www.highonbstore.com/" -- this looks like a store front. It has all the bike toys you could desire and some parts are at very good but not ridiculous prices. I came across this searching for an item using the Google "shopping" search.
If you try to complete a purchase, it "fails" and in this case, payment processing is done through a Singapore payments company. In other such storefronts the payments are through Paypal.
The tell that it's a scam is in the "contact us" section - the phone number is garbage and the location is actually a county history museum in Meade, KS.
There's no followup; in this case, even though the transaction "didn't complete" it hit my credit card & is being contested. In other, similar scam sites, I've had to go through PayPal - which was made more complex because the company actually shipped me a pair of socks rather than the cross country skis I had ordered.
Is there a common term for these scams? Is there a way to report them?
