Pixelfed
@pixelfed more the instagram than the flickr :p
@pixelfed
I would rather say, Instagram is the closed source and limited in functionality pixelfed!
@pixelfed I have an instance running but can’t seem to get the federated feed, any tips?
--also the main instance (#^https://pixelfed.social) is slammed right now, so please choose a smaller instance for the time being, or if you have the skills, roll your own!

@pixelfed The thing it lacks for me to be a Flickr of the fediverse are:

- The possibility to have like 50 pictures in a album (most of my albums are from trips with many pictures)
- The possibility to show/download the original size of the picture (my pictures are taken with a DSLR and I use 4K displays, monitor and TV)
- Bulk upload of a whole album
- Possibility to create a link to share the album with people including the private pictures in it

Those features just made me pay for pro again

@pixelfed commenting for better reach.

@pixelfed I did see a convo where Flickr was polling users to get a pulse for adding support for AP (integrating with the Fediverse)

I am on @pixelfed :

Thanx for this great part of the fediverse!

@pixelfed Is there a way to browse the local feed without registering?
I want to find accounts to follow from this account, but I have to register to see anything.
@pixelfed So the #Pixelfed server admins pay for hosting their users photos? That seems like it could get expensive.
