I have also now obtained my first two Eevees 
The first was a boy, and the girl is now leading my team and will hopefully become Flareon 
Oh and my team now has an agender Pokémon, Gimmighoul!
Haha well my one girl Eevee became too high in friendship to not evolve and she'd learnt a fairy type move so though she evolved at night, she didn't evolve into Umbreon, instead my first eeveelution is... Sylveon

! #PokemonVioletWell I now have the stones I need for evolving Flareon, Leafeon, Jolteon and Vaporeon, and my Eevee holding the fire stone has levelled from 20 to 21 without evolving, but the only guides I can find with solid numbers for evolving Eevee are the friendship levels to evolve Sylveon, Umbreon and Espeon, and just wishy washy "Eevee evolves into Flareon when holding a Firestone" but nothing on when!?

👻 Feufochmar@Flareon you need to use the fire stone on eevee, not to let him hold it. The fire stone is a consumable item (like a potion).
@Feufochmar Huh ok, that's definitely not how I read the instructions, it's said if it evolves while holding the stone it'll evolve
@Flareon well, it’s how evolution stones work since the very first games back on the GameBoy. You use the item on the pokémon.
Some pokémons (like 
or 
) evolve when trading or leveling up while holding a very specific item, but it’s never when holding an evolution stone.
@Feufochmar I've never played a main game for as long as this one before 😅
