This town has never
Been home. I left it glad, though
Memories haunt me.

The people here pushed
Their hate through my eyes, seeing
Me as a monster.

Blinded, with only
Their scorn as the mirror through
Which I saw myself.

Lost in darkness and
Failure, I came home broken
And hid away, shamed.

Asked if I liked the
Town, I said no, here my dreams
Died before they breathed.

Shattered, I came home
But I could never live here
I came back to die.
