I lived in Australia and I never had to carry around pepper spray just to walk around the neighborhood. The wildlife in the interior of BC laughs at Aussie fauna. Deadly spiders? Check. Deadly snakes? Check. Cougars & coyotes? Check. Bloodthirsty predators that literally sit outside your bedroom window & growl just to remind you whose ‘hood you’re in? Check. Your crocs are cute, Aussies but our bears will come in & take the leftovers from the fridge while looking you dead in the eyes. #BC
@godlessmom at least you can see the bears and coyotes coming most of the time, they don’t sit in your toilet or under your bed. 🤷🏼‍♀️
@nona80_swanette our black widows and rattlers do!

@godlessmom Don’t get me wrong, I love Canada, but …
Black widow ranks at 5, funnel web and red back rank at 1 and 2 respectively. 🤣
Eastern tiger (7), coastal taipan (2) and inland taipan (1) all make top 10, while rattlers don’t even make top 10. 😳 not to mention the Browns (which are sometimes listed above taipans because of how aggressive they are), Copperheads, Red-Bellied Blacks and Adders.
Also, there’s the critters in the water when you go swimming like jellyfish, stonefish and blue-ringed octopus 😂
Then there’s cassowary, platypus, kangaroos, sharks, stingrays, dingoes … 🤯
And magpies 😋
Oh, and don’t even start thinking about starting a war with the Emus. 😭

I mean, it’s not a competition but if it were … 😉

@nona80_swanette oh yeah I got stung by one of those jellyfish off Rottnest. the bastards
@godlessmom yep, they’re not fun. But you would have seen quokka, so I hope that made up for it.
@nona80_swanette I love the quokkas! Happiest little guys on earth!
