@paulbayes Can you say more about what you mean by 'hard' and 'dry'? Some of my initial enthusiasm has waned, but I'm still feeling pretty happy here.
@jondrowe It’s an OK space, but rightly different from Twitter and I liked Twitter for what it was. Hard = mostly technical stuff for a non- technical guy in his seventieth year - finding it hard to find friends, finding the right instance, being bewildered by the number of new posts on the federated feed etc. Dry = eg a culture in which political/social posts are encouraged to be hidden behind content warnings.
@paulbayes @jondrowe I hear you with the 'dry' criticism. It's a lovely, gentle place here but, much as I often struggle with Twitter spats, I'm genuinely interested in the range of thoughts, beliefs, and feelings, and we don't see much of that here (ime)
