“Reinfected patients had a more than doubled risk of death and a more than tripled risk of hospitalization compared with those who were infected with #COVID just once. They also had elevated risks for problems with lungs, heart, blood, kidneys, diabetes, mental health, bones and muscles, and neurological disorders, according to a report published in Nature Medicine.”

@DrOrna

I must be a walking anomaly,

I've been infected 3 times, with the 2nd resulting in Long Haul Covid for 17 months.

There is still so very much we don't know definitively about Covid, or the long term affects it has on our immune systems.

@Small1ldy I’m so sorry this has happened to you. I hope you stay well!

@DrOrna

That is very kind of you to say. I have developed a symbiotic relationship w/my immune system today..

I take extra measures to keep it out of battle-mode.

That is the one plus to Covid, the awareness it provides us regarding our own bodies.

I wished I had known these things decades ago.

@DrOrna this is why I’m still masking everywhere and trying as hard as I can not to get it. I’m one of the last people I know who haven’t had it yet.
@DrOrna The sample group in this study was NOT representative of the general population !!!
