It's a great feeling to have loved a book so much you want to tell everyone about it. That's how much I loved Gabrielle Zevin's "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow." The characters are flawed, complex, and sympathetic. The relationships are dynamic and multidimensional. The ideas about life, tragedy and games are thoughtful. The portrait of a creative collaboration is exciting. A key plot point I predicted is handled in an original and moving way. Read it!

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin | Penguin Random House Canada

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERIn this exhilarating novel by the best-selling author of The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry two friends—often in love, but never lovers—come together as creative partners in the world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality."Utterly brilliant. In this sweeping, gorgeously written novel, Gabrielle Zevin charts the beauty, tenacity, and fragility of human love and creativity. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow is one of the best books I've ever read." —John Green

Also, a quick FYI, this book is about video game designers and has a lot about video games in it, naturally. But you don't need to be a gamer to enjoy this book. I am not a gamer (TBH video games give me vertigo), and I found the discussion of the games and their creation totally enthralling.
Also probably worth confessing that I am the exact age of the main characters and many of the conversations they have are conversations I've had and so even though I am not a video game designer - or a techie of any sort - I found the characters intensely relatable.
