If you only use your social media accounts to repost awful news articles about awful people doing awful things, you're missing out on a great opportunity here to finally be happy and there's probably a good chance you're shouting into the void because you've been blocked/muted.

You have the chance to be happy on a social network for once, don't let the bad things in the world ruin it for you.

Talk, interact, socialize... you don't need to be a bot for the news corporations.

@nicki They probably joined because they were told the platform is "the new birdsite" and come here treating it exactly like they would over there. I think new people just don't realize that there's no system to game here, it's literally just a platform for talking with other people.

That sounds about right. It was certainly what made me come and check it out, and I don't suppose I'm the only one. 🙂

Haven't found my corner yet, but it's been an iinteresting week or two, and it's certainly calmer.

@og_tessa @KuJoe True. I came here from the birdsite then after a few days learning curve realized this was a very different place.
