@babyattachmode I agree it's a tricky one, but I do support equal leave. Assuming it doesn't mean shorter leave for a parent recovering from childbirth, I can see at least two benefits. First, having another person at home to take care of a new baby (and other children) should mean more opportunity for rest/recovery after giving birth. Second, if all new parents take extended leave, it might help mitigate assumptions about 'women of childbearing age' in recruitment.
