can I ask for advice here? If I'm looking for a good/cheap laptop, I'm trying to get the most bang for the buck under five hundred, what CPU should I shoot for? how should I balance CPU/memory? (if this is out of place, mea culpa, please pardon)
I probably missed a good Black Friday sale, but I didn't know I would be looking until it was, really, too late...

@MSparks For what it's worth, when I worked retail, I would recommend people against buying on Black Friday, at least the specials. They're built to hit checkboxes and a pricepoint, not to be a holistically good device. You likely didn't miss much, if anything, from not having the purchase ready to go.
