Almost done with Twitter tbh. I’m so sick of it.
@Sysengineer I knew it would die quickly. I just didn’t think it would be so sad and shitty.
@Sysengineer I stuck with it for a couple weeks after his purchase just for the Schadenfreude from watching Elon destroy his wealth and reputation, but it stopped being good even for that on account of all the damned nazis. I'm grateful that infosec twitter migrated here en masse. Otherwise it'd be awfully lonely. I'm glad you're here.
@DaveMWilburn @Sysengineer I agree! It's a shame because of the community on twitter. Hope thing get back "normal" again.
This guy is making a lot of damage, not sure about the real purpose of his actions (if any non impulsive...)
@Sysengineer At this point I'm only using it to help people move over here, and to find people after they've moved.
@Sysengineer it is currently still growing which is so strange to me.. I guess everyone wants to see the train wreck
@Sysengineer likewise. I've downloaded my archive and set my account to private, leaving my infosec.exchange address in my screen name so my friends can find me here. But I just haven't been able pull the trigger on deleting the account. Have been there since Feb 2009, and it's hard to accept what's happening. But I'm starting to realize that I'm more repulsed than sad about it.
@Sysengineer I'm about to lock my account and delete the app.
@Sysengineer I deleted the app from my phone today. I may not be able to do away with the bird site yet, but it will keep me from going on there so much.
@Sysengineer I've been off for a week, and its been fantastic. Check out pixelfed if you want an instagram like service, you can follow pixelfed accounts here as well because of activitypub
@Sysengineer
I'm right behind you. More and more people that I prefer to read from are moving here. Yourself included. But I need CNN, ArsTechnica, The Verge, and a few others to make the move too.
@Sysengineer
If you haven't been kicked out of Twitter yet, that means the fascists find you palatable.
