I used the amazing OpenCore Legacy Patcher to install Ventura on my very old, no longer supported 2013 MacBook Air tonight. SHOCKED by how well it worked!
@jessfoxbooks I used that to install Monterey on an old Mac Mini and it worked, kind of. But it was so slow and buggy that I gave up and bought a new M1 Mac Mini. The way Apple is going though, I see myself migrating off it sometime in the future. To what, I don't know. (That's the problem.)
@jerryjdavis I think it probably depends on which hardware it is, etc. I was shocked that it worked well on an almost 10-year-old machine. I have a gaming PC I built in 2020 that I’ve been using most of the time since, but I still prefer the Mac OS experience.
