Doing a Thanksgiving Dinner this week (Saturday, not Thursday) with some Irish cousins. Should I feel obliged to do green bean casserole, which I usu didn't cook in the US (preferring Brussels Sprouts instead), given what a remarkably silly (but yummy) American dish it is?

@Hawk Oh, I'm prepping now. For the moment, it'll just be brussel sprouts and kung pao rutabega.

We'll see if there are nice beans at the market tomorrow.

I'm cooking tomorrow on account of it not being a holiday here.
