There better be something, because youtubers or other celebrities often get impersonated.
That's what verification is for.
However, it's tricky to implement, because of decentralisation.

@rgbdubz yeah, we would need a centralised verification entity to make sure the verified person is legit, and that's completely against what fedi is for.
