No Paramount, I will NOT skip the intro #StarTrek
@skrishna Skip the intro is a crime against television.
@skrishna I don’t even see how that’s a question. Star Trek consistently has the best themes and opening sequences of any show.

@skrishna There is only one Star Trek intro I will always skip.

And I think we all know which one.

@fraize IT’S BEEN A LONG ROAADDDDD

@skrishna @fraize

Not ashamed to admit that the Enterprise intro is one of my favorites 💁🏻‍♀️

@_astronoMay @fraize I will admit I watch it every time! I love that Alan Shepard is in it
@skrishna @_astronoMay I love the imagery of the intro, but just like John Williams with Star Wars, music can make something mediocre into something incredible. The converse is also true -- "Where My Heart Will Take Me" is, for me, overly schmaltzy and feels more like a suburban megachurch-revival song than a Star Trek Overture.
Obviously, that's my opinion, and I ADORE that people love it! IDIC in all things. 🖖
@skrishna TNG and later DS9 intros are criminal to skip. God I love them.
@skrishna Absolutely not! Especially for #Voyager...I love that music.
@skrishna How about the credits at the end? I hate, that most streaming services want to skip these and I always have to be fast to cancel skipping it. Same with people leaving the cinema during the credits.

re discovery

hmm do you know by any chance the name of the person who was so high on mushrooms that he thought inventing a drive on it is JUST what star trek needs? love the series, just... would like to have a chat with that fella.

#startrek #writing #scifi She walks through the empty ship. Part of her loves every inch of it, part just wants to shout: "Who of you writer fellas was so high on their mushrooms that you had to invent a drive on it?!" "on it" "on it" An echo follows her around. She walks on, the echo getting weaker. Silence again. Over there she sees an open door. Who could be here, on this unknown ship instance 900 clicks away from her starting point? She inches closer. The door opens. "Mom?" Aaaa!
