All these diseases have symptom overlap. So testing 599 for flu and only 135 for COVID means 464+ with COVID symptoms not tested.

Each person who tests neg for other viruses and isn't tested for SARS2 risks infecting HCWs and fellow patients, as well as those they encounter back out in the commty.

The HCWs & pts risk passing it on to other pts and fam mbrs, kids pass it to classmates, etc.

We have completely uninterrupted chains of transmission happening in #BCPoli, while our PHO gets up on stage and lies to our faces about what's going on.

And she gets away with it.

This is compounded by the fact that hosps, ICU admits, deaths d/t reinfections aren't counted.

We are completely blinded to what is going on, and kneecapped in our ability to respond effectively.

Our government and Public Health leadership are willingly letting a novel virus run rampant, and hurting our kids.

And there are no checks and balances to stop them!
