How long do we just keep accepting that people are dying because of the crisis in our NHS?

How can we hold our politicians accountable?
We need to find a way.

@kityates

Surely this happens until the #Tories are out?

Their general philosophy is to make unemployment fatal so they can wield the literal power of life & death over their employees.

Medicine as a right paid for by all definitely doesn't fit in to their "make Britain feudal again" outlook. If you can't afford to to pay for private medicine, you should die quietly, according to that view.

@kityates If you vote for a clown you will get a circus 🎪

The biggest thing for me is this isn't a new problem - it's an old problem that's getting worse. (I consulted with ambulance services across the world until about 5 years ago).

Since they were consolidated, the UK services have run huge volumes with, relatively, few resources. Most the coped and were very efficient. But were susceptible to things like hospital delays.

But they were always on a knife-edge. I suspect things have gotten a lot worse since I've been out of it.

@geoff332 @kityates we need to work out how to have people vote for great healthcare, not for personalities.

As I understand it, the South Korean electorate judge governments by healthcare metrics. I'd love to hear input from somebody that has actually experienced this, and how it works.

I know we are culturally different, but maybe for on once we could adopt something good from elsewhere!

@kityates It can never be acceptable that thousands and thousands are dying & out politicians are accountable. We must find a way . At the moment it I cannot see any hope with this Government. The strike actions are gaining support from the public but it feels like we need to be brave like other nations. It all feels hopeless
@kityates Don't worry the politicians have the answer; give them more of our taxes.
@kityates they’re lined up for 20+ hours in Wales so just overpriced taxis where hospitals can use a designated area to offload patients so they can get back out doing their jobs.
I heard they might be implementing what I mentioned above in 1 hospital in Cardiff rather than ALL Welsh Hospitals.
It was embarrassing at 111 to tell ill patients they’d need to wait 8-15 hours.
@kityates If government could be described as the management of a country then it must be said that the Conservatives aren’t very good at it
