As the David Bowie intro started on 11/24/91, Trey announced that he was going to make a presentation and requested that everyone not go away. As a reward for the crew that was doing such hard work, they handed out monogrammed bathrobes to all of them - although not Marley, despite Trey's joke that she was getting one.

According to this ramble, they handed out bowling balls the year before.

This makes me wonder if the band was actually making money doing their endless gigs in small clubs everywhere. I've written before about how the economics as a fan touring were so different in 1988-94 than they are today, where it was easy to just grab a cooler and a couple hundred sodas and break even on the summer, but maybe it also worked for the band too. I figured this was them burning through their savings because they believed in what they were doing, but the early 90s were different.
