Drawing of Mel Gibson (it was okay back then) as Hamlet (not okay back then) that I did at the age of 15 - the same year I pretty much put drawing in the backseat and started to make movies instead because I had seen Evil Dead 2 and it changed my life.

I wore that jeans vest in the very first film I made on VHS, "Videovåld" (Video Violence), that was about me, watching Evil Dead 2 and it makes me kill my classmates.

@JanneFantastic I worked with Mel. I don't know what he used to be like. But the current version of him is a very humble, gracious guy who has zero resemblance to the person everyone thinks he is.

@ericwoolfe You have no idea how happy that makes me. He meant a lot to me, his work both in front and behind the camera, in my formative years as a filmmaker. The time I spent studying his films, frame by frame…

So his problematic behavior really upset me, but I am happy to hear this. Thank you.

@JanneFantastic My pleasure. I was really moved by how kind and gracious he was to everyone. I even teased him about his follies. He's clearly done a lot of work on himself. And has done it quietly for its own sake.
