Holidays can be difficult to negotiate for many of us, but this Thanksgiving I am feeling grateful for family and friends. Did a little prep work ahead of time.

@PensiveRuminant I meant to only do pies today, but got carried away. So that green stuff: It's a jello salad recipe that became a tradition in our household before I was born... From the heyday era of jello mold desserts 😋

You start with lime jello, add yogurt, mayonnaise, celery, pineapple, and the finishing touch? A dab of horseradish-- the original recipe had cottage cheese instead of yogurt.

lol it gets mixed reviews in this generation 🤣

@oneinafir Oh I love all kinds of food, and I'd be the first one to try a slice.😋 I have a cookbook w/an entire section devoted to molded salads. Happy Thanksgiving!
