Current status: pretending to work while I make the cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.
@Ronnie Heretic.
@larand In the best possible way. We made some homemade one time. I didn’t like it. I say I because I’m the only one that eats it anyway. 😂
@Ronnie I grew up in a family where the kids ate the canned jellied Ocean Spray and the adults mostly ate the real thing. I liked the real stuff once I got older, and now I have no choice since I need to make it without sugar. But I do keep canned whole-berry sauce in the pantry just in case.
@larand I want the jellied stuff. Oh yeah!!!
@Ronnie @larand I second this. Real cranberries come in a can like grandma used to make!
@minego @Ronnie @larand It is so interesting to see the different traditions between my wife's family and mine. Savory vs. sweet, fresh vs. canned, spicy vs. bland. It's actually not what she would prefer any other day of the year. But you don't mess with Thanksgiving.

@nguarracino Indeed. It took some adapting when I got married, too. 😉

@minego @Ronnie

@larand then when you’ve been married for a long time you have created your own and your kids will drag that baggage with them. 😂
@nguarracino @minego
@nguarracino @Ronnie @larand I make cranberry chutney, spicy with pears and ginger. My kids shovel it in. Then secretly I buy the jellied stuff and make PBJ.
@flowerpower oh I’ve never tried that. It sounds great.
@nguarracino @larand

@larand @Ronnie I’m glad I have the perfect excuse.

I am allergic to cranberry. 😂
