Here's the latest of my #projects: https://ooh.directory , a collection of hundreds of blogs.

I was tired of hearing "no body blogs any more" and wanted to show that there are so. many. blogs!

I have loads more blogs and features to add yet, and I hope you find something interesting.

ooh.directory: a place to find good blogs that interest you

A collection of 2,392 blogs about every topic

@philgyford this is so lovely! Thank you for making this, I’m already finding long lost feeds.

Not sure if there’s a way to do this that I’ve missed: would it be too cluttering to surface the RSS feed link at the top level of the listing (ie not behind the disclosure button)?

@shajith Thank you! That's definitely possible and I've changed my mind a few times.

My current thinking is that I want it to be as uncluttered as possible for browsing but, if you decide you want to take action and subscribe, then you have to click anyway.

But nearly all the blogs have the feed URL marked up in their HTML, so you can often subscribe with just the main site URL, depending on your feed reader.

@philgyford that makes sense, and I was going to just stick the URL into NetNewsWire but decided to root around for a feed link.

I suppose “subscribe to this blog” is not a primary enough action to stick those little RSS icons on each line, maybe?

Either ways, thank you for thinking this through too!

@shajith Yes, I *assume* people won't be subscribing to all the blogs they see, so it doesn't seem like something that needs to be always accessible. But if more people ask about it I'm flexible :)
