I’m into cooking, all sorts of music from technical melodic metal to showtunes to UK grime, and I am fluent in S3-S10 Simpsons quotes.
I like art noveau, I have a big Dadaist tattoo on my back, spend too much time on TikTok watching makeup tutorials and am up to level 1156 on Royal Match.
If I could jump careers right now I’d probably become a meteorologist.
None of this of course makes up for having no real personality of my own but it makes me seem interesting on the internet so

@nellistevenson I’ve done quite a bit of hiking over years. Suzanne and I spent a lot of time on tracks in Australia and New Zealand…until we decided we were at an age where we preferred nice hotels 😁

@nellistevenson currently one thing I’ve become interested in is making pizza from scratch - ie the pizza dough from flour etc. I like how each time I make it, it’s better. Haven’t yet mastered mixed flours/ spelt/wholemeal etc but have had some good success w plain white flour.

@arianewilkinson that’s very cool! My husband has been making traditional Māori rēwena bread and doing similar experimentation with flour. I bet it’s so satisfying when you nail it!

@nellistevenson @arianewilkinson we made pizza dough from scratch a few times. The best thing was that we could make too much and cover them in olive oil, wrap them in glad wrap and freeze them for future pizza nights. Never tried different flours though, that sounds cool.

@nellistevenson yes, all tropical ecosystems - I like to balance the plants and substrate to get the right water quality and microbes, and little microfauna for the fry, that’s the fun part for me (and reduces the frequency of water changes. 😅)
