Wtf? Irony has certainly passed him by.
As Secretary of State for Ireland he used his time there to tout for two lucrative 'consultancies' - not much evidence of doing any government work.
As my old MP he did absolutely nothing for his constituents, just gurned for the local paper and attended dinners. He did claim that he'd worked hard for 19 years to get a local road widened; it's still a single carriageway.
