I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it a thousand times: Encouraging kids to be who they are is suicide prevention.
@Strandjunker What are maga kids encouraged to be? How does America deal with the children of pro-genocide/massacre/theocracy parents? Kids echo their hate and violence. I have personally experienced this, as have many Americans.
@TheStormcrow @Strandjunker they're encouraged to be good little peons willing to give their lives for the cause.
@TheStormcrow @Strandjunker Magas don't have much diversion except Fox News. Sports and other entertainment are essential to wholesomeness.
@TheStormcrow @Strandjunker I was encouraged to obey, to stay close to the herd, to pursue the “right” things and repress certain gestures and interests. I am marred by my intensely negative experiences and a decade of repressing my identity. I was treated like property and struggle with isolation. I was raised by psychos and it hurt. America only reacts, so the only real support is gofundme & the suicide hotline.

@TheStormcrow @Strandjunker

The short answer is America does nothing to de-radicalize far right extremists and is quite content neglecting the ones that declined the culture of violence and hate, and are just traumatized. The prior get sent to prison to be further radicalized and the latter are forgotten; regarded as failures, bad eggs, and defective. I’ve sadly internalized it.

@chipchirp @Strandjunker Americans have a lot of justified wrath towards extremists. It might be a long time until we feel ok reintegrating them into our society, and that would be after any terrorism stops. Honestly I’d rather they all rot in prison given the hell they’ve unleashed on the world. I know many Americans feel the same.
