The state of #oregon is promoting something they call “Green Friday” and it’s basically just free car parking at some state parks.

Sometimes it’s just too much…

@NoFreeParking I do like the idea of getting folks out and into the parks on Black Friday.

And I like reducing barriers to entry, making access more affordable.

It would be nice though -- and more "green" -- to offer transit service to parks as well!

@JaredC $5 a day is already a very low bar, even for a low income family that owns a car. The people who need help getting access to nature are people who don’t have cars.
