My first inclination would be to say that no drug has such a long period of withdrawal symptoms, although I have read about some anti-depressants that are pretty hard. (Then I read the "some suggest...." sentence though, there are all kinds of myths, suggestions and (often excagurated) stories out there for almost all psycho-active substances)

@julianbuchanan Ok thanks, that was one of the possible answers that I also had in mind, but shut out because I had not learned about the mind boggling long withdrawal period. No, I did not find the thread on mastodon, only found the first question. (Mind you, I am new to mastodon so the problem could very likely be at my end, will check again)
