@justaboydad I live there. I know Karen in the article. That this is a possible situation is one of the most absurd things I've ever heard.

Also a point of ridiculousness: this is in large part to support people watering their lawns and golf courses. The amount of water wasted is obscene.

@DanielTuttle as we’ve seen, Americans these days don’t make decisions that benefit the greater good if it means an ounce of inconvenience for themselves *cough covid*. The water future in the west is bleak, and “traditional” suburban habitation in the southwest is no longer sustainable. The taps will dry up, it’s just a question of the timeline for the exodus.
