Hello #edutooters ! I feel exhausted these days. I feel #students cannot be focus for long periods of time and they are very anxious. Do you have the same feeling in your classroom?
@teacherPaz You are not alone! I have been hearing this all fall. I’m not an instructor but I interview many for my job.
@aprilelah I don't know why... And you change methods, strategies... But I feel anything works 😬 I feelI spend most part of the leasson trying to manage voice levels, talk turns, repeating rules...
@teacherPaz it sounds like you have to be dancing all the time. I’m glad the holidays are coming soon and I hope you will have a chance to stop and rest!

@teacherPaz I have a feeling like each year it just gets worse and worse. The good part of it is that many students are seeking psychological assistance (and the offer is broader), so they're on the right path. But perhaps we should look into the reasons why they feel this way in the first place.

And I'm afraid there are maaaany.

@AlexGo totally agree with you! That's why I made this question because, apart from been frustrating, is like to do a reach in the possible reasons. If many teachers age on the same feeling, there must be something we are not seeing. 😬

@teacherPaz My seniors/Grade 12s are downright squirrely this year (like, more than I have ever seen). But I have one class of Grade 11s who are the light of my day and are so engaged. I have been having them lead college-style seminars/discussions on the novel we are reading, and the class can carry the discussion for most of the class with very little intervention from me.

I think it is a really weird year...🤷‍♀️ #edutooter
