The health and care system in the UK is likely to face the most challenging period I’ve experienced in 30 years working in or alongside the NHS.

This feels like a perfect storm:

- a service tired after 3 years of pandemic response
- the impact of COVID on growing waiting lists, and mental/psychological health
- a cost of living crisis affecting the fragile balance of care for vulnerable people, tipping into a greater level of need

@nhsadriano Yes, be kind to NHS staff if you have to use the service, but otherwise TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR OWN HEALTH so's you can avoid using the service. Avoid risk and help others avoid risk.
