One drag queen did more to stop the gunman in Colorado than hundreds of cops could do in Texas. We should put one drag queen at every school, clearly kids would be safer.

Edit: Correction, I'm now reading that it was a trans woman not a drag queen. Still, an unarmed veteran and a trans woman did what 346 cops with a $4 million budget couldn't handle in Texas.

@beck After more reading, there was a young man and then, as he tired, a performer who used her high heels. I believe he said "she," but I'm not sure. Whatever, all 3 of them are flipping heroes!

@beck don’t doubt that one drag queen per school would be safer… but the person who brought down the shooter was a vet at the club to support his daughter and her high school friend. That’s according to this story in the #washingtonpost https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/11/21/clubq-shooter-stopped-army-veteran/ … he enlisted two others, including a drag queen, to help. All three saved lives.

@beck @fu not to mention gun violence ROSE 25% in 2020 during height of lockdown and 2x increase in DV. Though DV is thought to be possibly under reported because the whole victim(s) being stuck with abuser.

@beck Coppers only reluctantly handle fascists after exhausting all other options. But if they see a black or queer person, they'll shoot on sight. We're very scary you see. So scary that we scare the living shit out of coppers just for existing.
