Parnikkapore@reitei17 @pixelfed For looking at or following a mastodon account on Pixelfed, maybe try searching for a Mastodon account's full handle (@[email protected]) or user page URL (https://example.com/@something)?
People with mastodon usernames in Pixelfed: Congratulations, you found a Mastodon account on Pixelfed! The part after the second @ in the full handle is where they have signed up - @[email protected] signed up at example.com, using what they're running (masto, PF, etc).
Ok so i found my mastodon acc in pixelfed and follow it. So thats all about connecting mastodon acc and pixelfed? A lot of people only have 1 acc that only have mastodon username in pixelfed, while now i have 2. Sorry im confuse.
@reitei17 Most Mastodon accounts are connected by default, yes; that's why you can search for their full handles even before you follow them.
The accounts with mastodon usernames are NOT Pixelfed accounts - they are Mastodon accounts that Pixelfed is showing, because they are connected. Likewise, you can see and follow Pixelfed accounts from your Masto account.
okay i get it now. The one with mastodon username is mastodon acc.
One thing i dont get is why is there no post shown in the mastodon acc in pixelfed, while in mastodon plenty of pictures and posts are there. So how can i boost it to my pixelfed acc?

Blake Leonard@clacke @reitei17 Last I checked there's an option to show text-only posts but by default yes, Pixelfed filters to posts with media.
I think you only get the new posts if nobody's following that other account on that Pixelfed instance. So, if you follow the Masto account from Pixelfed and post on Mastodon, it'll show up on Pixelfed shortly after.

Okay thanks for the info. Ill just try out and post and see how it works. Cause some people i saw have a very complete posts shown in mastodon acc in pixelfed but most have no post at all shown.

@reitei17 In most Fedi interfaces if you search for the URL of a post in the post search field it should be fetched and allow you to comment, boost etc. I hope Pixelfed offers this as well.

I dont know anymore, im seriously confuse lol.
There is 2 acc i found that have perfect post sync between mastodon and mastodon acc in pixelfed and i dont know how they achieve that. [email protected] and [email protected]
@reitei17 There is no sync, revoy has no pixelfed account (I assume).
If you are on pixelfed following a person who is on mastodon, you will see their post on your pixelfed. (depending on how you set that image-posts-only filter)

I assume david revoy dont have pixelfed acc but how can all his post be there in pixelfed. And i try searching other people mastodon acc, but their post is none.
And for arkadiusz, i dont follow him but i can see both his mastodon and mastodon acc in pixelfed is there.
Well idk anymore lol. Nvm, im starting this because im curious.
