To everyone's surprise, Toot! v17.0 is out!

This is the first in a series of releases that implement support for new Mastodon features. More will come in the near future, but this version offers:

* Full support for all new types of notifications in Mastodon 4.0, including admin notifications.
* Updated to use more modern versions of various iOS functionality. As a result, however, the minimum supported iOS version is now 13.
* Bugfixes.

Oh, also, this release is set on a phased rollout so I can catch any serious issues before it rolls out to everyone, so it will become available gradually over the coming week.

There might be a way to force an update in the App Store if you don't want to wait but I'm not 100% sure?

@tootapp the app with the white background is iOS toot app correct? Sorry screen readers, I am attempting to describe the picture but IDK how to describe screenshots off the squares of apps. Just a lowly 27 year old who finds technology confusing, overwhelming, and just craves simplicity.

@swiftiebuckycas @tootapp No, tooot with three Os is a different app. The one we’re talking about here is Toot! with two Os and an exclamation mark, whose icon is this:

@badibulgator @tootapp I see that now. I first downloaded the purple mastodon app. I’m not used to having a decentralized social media platform where there is third party apps for a platform.
